Childrens Dentistry

At My Family Dental, we believe that good oral health habits start early. We recommend you bring in your children for dental visits from around 2 years old. Children who get used to visiting the dentist from an early age, often grow into adults who continue to see their dentist regularly. This is important for achieving and maintaining good oral health throughout their lives.

We provide a fun, friendly environment for your child’s dental experience, and advice for parents to use at home where encouraging good tooth-brushing habits can be challenging. Our goal is to support the whole family in achieving strong, healthy and happy smiles.

The government’s Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS), supports eligible children to have access to a benefit cap of $1,000 towards dental care over a two calendar year period.
To be eligible a child must:

  • Be aged between 2-17 years, and
  • Their family must receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.

Families can check whether their child is eligible for the CDBS by contacting the Department of Human Services. Or by contacting one our teams at the practice and we can check your eligibility.
